With red bags you start with 1 reelset and have to collect more to activate the other 3 reelsets. With gold bags, the triggering symbols are copied to 3 other reelsets and you have all 4 active from the start. You could trigger with a progressive and it would copy to all reelsets. 3 gongs on reels 2, 3 and 4 trigger the free feature where you pick your combination of games and bags.
