And what a way to introduce this new concept with a massive 375X Big Win! “Sweet Zone” is a new feature where reels 2 and 4 have special diamond symbols and depending on where they land, they can either expand the whole reel wild or even three full reels wild if they land in the center red square! This is not an uncommon occurrence, and as such the full screen wild payout isn’t that high only at 50X although during the bonus, multipliers are introduced giving you the possibility up to 9x for a single spin max award of $1125 at a $2.50 bet!

To trigger the bonus, you need three or more King Cat bonus symbols, which blend in with the rest of the symbols so you may not notice them at first. Getting more than three increases your scatter award but not your number of free spins. During the bonus, the reels expand although your number of lines remains constant at 50, which can be a little deceptive.

So what’s the benefit of the expanded reels? You have a greater chance to retrigger, which only now takes TWO bonus symbols to retrigger for 5 more spins! I really like bonus rounds where retriggers are easier than the initial trigger- it’s a great feature. Finally, any diamonds that land in the red sweet zone now have the chance to change to multiplier wilds of either 2x or 3x, which of course is how the big wins or even Jackpots can occur in King Cat.
