Dragon Lord is a great example of how “theme” matters because truth be told, I just love this retro classic and it’s part of what I call Aristocrat’s “Collection Trilogy” also including Red Baron and Prophecy which are all clones of each other but there’s something about this one that I just love.
In Dragon Lord, you win by landing the same symbol in at least 3 reels from left to right just like in the very popular game Buffalo. To help, a wild symbol in the form of a dragon eye may land in reel 3 only.
Where the fun really begins is in the bonus, which is triggered by landing bonus symbols in reels 2, 3, and 4 with the wild symbol also substituting for a bonus symbol, too, a great feature.
Once triggered, you get to choose your quest where each has a specific number dragons to collect by having them land on the reels. Quests range from collecting 4 dragons for 10 credits to 20 or more dragons for 140 credits, multiplied by your total bet. If you are lucky enough to collect 25 or more, you are treated to an additional bonus of 40 credits multiplied by your total bet regardless of which quest you chose. Finally, whenever the dragon eye lands, it will transform into a 2x, 3x, or 5x multiplier!
So it’s all about landing a retrigger in this one, as you need additional spins to either complete your mission or score a bonus award.
